What is laser hair removal?

In laser hair removal, we get to work with a laser, actually light of a certain wavelength. At a low wavelength, the laser is perfect for permanently removing hair. The laser beam heats the pigment of the hair in the hair follicle. The heat causes the hair follicle to break down, preventing hair from growing. Because hair in a hair follicle has pigment only in the growth phase, the treatments must be repeated several times because not all hairs grow at the same time. After all, laser treatment has no effect on mature hairs or hairs at rest.

When performed by professionals, with the proper equipment, laser hair removal is completely safe. A minor skin reaction may occur, but that’s where it stops. This reaction is often much less irritating than shaving or waxing.

At Care Clinic, we use the Lutronic Clarity II laser, a combination of Alexandrite and Nd:YAG. This is the cream of the crop. This device was developed with doctors and is extremely safe. This device also works up to 2 times faster, the device cools the treatment head so that burning is excluded and the device even measures the skin temperature and can intervene itself if necessary.
